Attestation

Requirements for attestation of:

  • Power of Attorney:
    1. Photocopy of the Passport(s).
    2. Original passport(s).
    3. Signature in person(s) before the Consular Officer.
    4. Photographs (passport size) of both parties: 01 copy (for each of the persons).
    5. Photocopy of the National ID of the person to be given attorney.
    6. Proof of payment to Embassy Bank Account
    7. One set photocopy of the original document
  • Educational and other certificates:
    1. Prior attestation of the documents by the Ministries.
    2. One set photocopy of the original document
  • Unmarried Certificates: Letter or certificate issued by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner which is attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka. One set photocopy of the original document should be submitted.
  • Legalization: Documents must be attested by the Bundesverwaltung Amt. One set photocopy of the original document should be submitted.

Proof of payment to Embassy Bank Account [Copy of Bank transfer slip/Überweisung Euro 10.00 (ten) for per Bangladeshi document (such as, copy of Bangladeshi Passport, educational certificate, police clearance, birth/death registration certificate, Nikahnama/ marriage certificate,  health Certificate) and Euro 50.00 (fifty) for other per document  (Embassy Bank Account details: Embassy of Bangladesh: Deutsche Bank, Account No: 2332773, IBAN: DE80 1007 0000 0233 2773 00, BIC (Swift code): DEUTDEBBXXX)]

Endorsements in the Handwritten Passport:

General requirements:

  • Filled-in application form
  • Photographs (Size: 37mmX37mm and recent one): 02 copies
  • Valid passport and
  • Payment receipt of visa fee

Types of Endorsement

Requirements
Correction of name/ date/ place of birth Court declaration, birth certificate, SSC Certificate attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Change of address Proof of address e.g. driving license/ recent telephone or electricity bill
Addition of children
  • Birth certificate of the child showing Bangladesh nationality of parents.
  • Photographs – 03 copies (stamp size, for each of the child)
  • Children generally are endorsed in the mother’s passport. To endorse them in the father’s passport, notarized letter from the mother stating that she has no objection if the children are endorsed in the father’s passport.
Change of Father’s/husband’s name Marriage/divorce certificate as applicable
Change of profession or occupation
  • Copy of relevant academic certificate or employment verification letter stating the profession (from employer).
  • Due verification applies which will be informed after submission of application.
